3. Dak Prescott

Furthermore, in 2020, a franchise tag was put on Dakota by The Cowboys for $32 million approximately. However, in 2021, he signed a $160 million contract extension of four-year with the Cowboys. 

In addition, the contract includes a bonus of $66 million, making it the most prominent in the history of the NFL. It is estimated that Dakota will be paid $44 million per year. 

2. Deshaun Watson

Furthermore, the same year in September, he started his play against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Following April 2020, Watson was offered a fifth-year contract extension. Then in September, he signed another four-year with the Texans worth $178 million approximately, which second-largest NFL contract.

The contract is valid until 2026. Per year, Watson is expected to earn $39 million.

1. Patrick Mahomes

Mahomes, an American football quarterback, playing for the Kansas City Chiefs, is on the top of our list. He was an avid college football and baseball player at Texas Tech University.

Above all, Rivals.com rated him as a 3-star football rookie. In 2017, Mahomes signed four years contract with the Kansas City Chiefs for $16.43 million approximately and a bonus of $10 million. 

The Chiefs renewed the contract with Mahomes and offered him a ten-year extension in April 2020. It was the largest NFL contract in that year. It was worth a total of $503 million, inclusive of the bonus. 

According to the contract, Mahomes will be paid $45 million per year. Further, the contract will expire in 2030.
