Donna started her 2014 year off by entering Shenzhen Open, where she lost in the first round to third seed Klara Zakopalova.

Moreover, Donna lost in the first round of ten consecutive WTA tournaments from February to August, including the French Open. Similarly, in September, she reached the final of the ITF tournament in Saint Petersburg but later lost to Natalia Vikhlyantseva.
